Wenda was born in London, England, and raised in the beautiful county of Norfolk. Her childhood was spent creating plays and imaginary worlds with her two younger sisters. Together, they would build dens and cubby houses that could transport them to magical worlds like in the The Magic Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton.

PAST CAREER
At school, English was never one of Wenda's strong subjects and she preferred Maths and Science. She studied to become a research scientist (cell biologist) which gave her the chance to work in New York and Australia. Her journey to become a children's author began when she fell in love with picture books when reading them to her daughter.
My other passion, archery.
now
She loves to write stories for children and thinks it's the best job in the world. She enjoys the process of coming up with an idea then crafting a story out of thin air. Her aim is to put a smile on the face of every child who reads her stories.
She lives in Brisbane, Australia, with her supportive husband, her cheeky daughter and three adopted pets: Nellie, Nemo and Nutmeg.
