I was born in London, England, and raised in the beautiful county of Norfolk. My childhood was spent creating plays and imaginary worlds with my two younger sisters. Together, we would build dens and cubby houses that could transport us to magical worlds like in The Magic Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton.

PAST CAREER
At school, English was not one of my strong subjects and I usually preferred Maths and Science. I've undergone years of study to become a research scientist (cell biologist) which gave me the chance to work in New York and Australia. My journey to becoming a children's author began when I fell in love with picture books when reading them to my daughter.
now
I love to write stories for children and think it's the best job in the world. I enjoy the process of coming up with an idea and then crafting a story out of thin air. My aim is to put a smile on the face of every child who reads my stories. My other passions include wildlife conservation and archery. I live in Brisbane, Australia, with my husband, my daughter and three adopted pets: Nellie, Nemo and Nutmeg.
