Wenda was born in London, England, and raised in the beautiful county of Norfolk. Her childhood was spent creating plays and imaginary worlds with her two younger sisters, Ferrelyn and Jenny. Together, they would build dens that could transport them to magical worlds such as Marshmallow-land or Pixie-land.
One of her favourite books as a child was The Magic Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton.
First day at school.
Six years old.
At school, English was never one of Wenda's strong subjects and she preferred Maths and Science. She studied to become a research scientist (cell biologist) which gave her the chance to work in New York and Australia. Although she loved cell biology, being a Mum brought out a hidden side. Suddenly, her right brain was activated!
My other passion, archery.
She loves to write stories for children and thinks it's the best job in the world. She enjoys the process of coming up with an idea then crafting a story out of thin air. Her aim is to put a smile on the face of every child who reads her stories.
She lives in Brisbane, Australia, with her supportive husband, her cheeky daughter and their two rescue dogs, Nellie and Nemo.
